1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as the browser's local storage, work the same way. This policy explains which of them Chativ uses on chativ.app, in workspaces (<company>.chativ.app) and in the chat widget on our customers' websites.

2. Cookies we use

Without your consent, we use only strictly necessary cookies. Without them, sign-in and the language choice do not work, so under the ePrivacy rules they do not require consent.

• accessToken, refreshToken — keep you signed in to your account; valid until you sign out or the session expires
• userInfo, tenantSlug — remember your profile and which workspace to open after sign-in
• oauth_state — protects sign-in with Google or GitHub from forgery; deleted after sign-in, at most 10 minutes
• NEXT_LOCALE — remembers the interface language you selected; up to 1 year

3. Chat widget

The Chativ widget on a business's website stores an anonymous visitor ID and the current conversation ID in the browser's local storage, so the conversation does not disappear when the page is reloaded. They contain no name, phone number or email address unless the visitor writes them in the chat. This data is processed on behalf of the website owner, who is the controller.

4. Analytics and advertising

Only with your consent in the cookie banner, chativ.app uses Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd) to count visits and clicks on the main buttons. It sets the _ga and _ga_<ID> cookies for up to 2 years; your choice is stored in the browser's local storage (chativ-consent). You can change it at any time via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the site. We do not use advertising cookies, and there is no analytics in workspaces or in the chat widget.

5. How to manage cookies

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, you will not be able to sign in to your account.
